June of My Heart
And we thought nothing could top the month of May!
In June, I had the privilege of being a signing author at Tarryn Fisher’s The Girls Are Back in Town event in Richmond, Virginia. In the weeks leading to this event, I was the most disorganized I’d ever been, with work priorities, home move packing and college orientation trips taking up all of my time. But choosing this event as my last one as an author was one of the best decisions I’d ever made!
Not only was the event a success, I had the honor of meeting my Brae’s Butterflies in person! It was an emotional time for me – to be loved by this group of extraordinary human beings – is a gift I could never, ever repay.
It was a perfect weekend. From getting to spend time with Tarryn and Josh, rooming with Willow, catching up with Tiffanie, hanging out with Ashley and Rachel and spending a few hours with my BBs – I am humbled and overwhelmed with gratitude for the experience.
And the highlight of my trip.
The Butterflies lunch at the Savory Grain where I was presented with a copy of Eight Goodbyes that each of the Butterflies circulated so that they could mark their favorite lines and write to me on each page. Their notes, their words, their love astounded me. Right there and then, I knew more than ever, why God had allowed me to take a little detour into their world. Never did I ever imagine ANYONE would do such a beautiful thing for me. I have the book by my night table now, and I leaf through its pages every time I need some inspiration.

So THANK YOU, June. You took my heart away.
